Booking & Organization
- How much does a paragliding tandem flight cost?
Depending on the flight experience, our tandem flights start from €130 for children’s flights up to €220 for the 3,000-meter high-altitude flight. - Where does the tandem flight on the Plose start?
The meeting point is the valley station of the Plose cable car in St. Andrä near Brixen. From there, we’ll go together to the flying area. - Is the cable car ride included?
No. The ticket for the Plose cable car is not included in the flight price. - Can I fly with family or friends at the same time?
Yes, with timely booking, we can arrange multiple tandem pilots simultaneously. - Can friends or family be present during the flight?
Of course. Friends and family can watch your Dolofly experience. - What happens if the weather forecast is bad?
Then we’ll simply reschedule. Safety always comes first.
Requirements & Preparation
- Do I need prior experience for a tandem flight?
No. You don’t need any experience for your paragliding tandem flight on the Plose – we’ll explain everything before the start. - Do I need to be athletic?
No. It’s enough if you can run a few quick steps at takeoff. - What is the minimum age for paragliding?
Children can fly from 5 years old. There is no fixed upper age limit – your fitness and physical condition are decisive. - Is there a weight limit?
Generally, we fly with passengers between a minimum of 20 kg and a maximum of about 100–120 kg – depending on weather and conditions. - I have a fear of heights – can I still fly?
Often, yes. Many guests with a fear of heights are surprised how calm and pleasant a paragliding flight feels. - What should I wear or bring for paragliding?
Sturdy shoes, sunglasses, a windproof jacket, and depending on the season, possibly gloves or warmer clothing. We’ll provide the helmet and complete flight equipment.
Your Flight Experience
- How much time should I plan in total?
Plan about 1.5 to 2 hours in total – including meeting point, ascent, briefing, flight, and landing. - How long does the flight itself last?
That depends on the booked tandem flight and the weather conditions. The children’s flight lasts about 10 minutes, the 3,000-meter high-altitude flight up to 55 minutes. - How does a paragliding tandem flight start?
Very relaxed: We start on a sloping meadow on the Plose and gently lift off after a few steps – no jumping off a cliff. - How fast does a paraglider fly?
Depending on conditions, we fly at about 35 to 40 km/h through the Dolomites – relaxed enough to fully enjoy the view. - How high do you fly when paragliding on the Plose?
Depending on the weather and type of flight, we reach impressive altitudes – up to around 3,000 meters for the 3,000-meter flight. - Is the landing hard?
No. The landing is usually gentle and is completely controlled by the pilot – mostly sitting or with a few relaxed steps.
Safety & Weather
- Can my flight appointment be postponed at short notice?
Yes. In the mountains, the weather often decides. If there are delays due to wind or flight conditions, we will, of course, keep you informed. - Is paragliding safe?
Yes. You fly with experienced, state-certified tandem pilots and professional equipment. In addition, our gliders are equipped with FLARM – a collision warning system that detects other aircraft early and ensures even more safety in the air. - Am I insured as a passenger?
Yes. All legally required insurances for your tandem flight are in place. - What weather conditions are suitable for flying?
Flights take place in safe conditions. In case of rain, strong winds, or poor visibility, we will postpone your flight. - Can you paraglide in winter?
Yes. A winter tandem flight over the Dolomites is a very special experience.
Photos & Extras
- Are photos or videos taken?
Yes, upon request, we take souvenir photos and videos of your flight. These are uploaded directly to your phone after the flight and are included in the price. - Can I bring my phone on the flight?
In your pocket, yes – in your hand, no. For safety reasons, you should not use your phone yourself during the flight.
